When the requirements of a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem are met, ideas and startups come to life, supported by a high-performing foundation of enablers. We designed an isometric infographic that brings Wellingtonās startup ecosystem to life, breaking it into three dynamic layers: The Hatchery (where ideas are born), The Requirements (the essential conditions for success), and The Enablers (those who nurture and accelerate entrepreneurial growth). With a focus on clarity and adaptability, the graphic clearly illustrates the interconnectedness of these components, offering a vibrant and flexible tool that showcases the ecosystemās energy, potential, and capacity to evolve.

THEĀ CHALLENGE
The challenge was to make the complex startup ecosystem feel simple, engaging, and easy to understand while showcasing the dynamic interplay between stakeholders, conditions, and enablers. The design needed to strike a balanceāproviding a clear, cohesive overview while highlighting the unique contributions of each component.

We created an infographic to visualise the intricate and ever-evolving startup ecosystem. Designed in a modern isometric style, it was crafted as an evergreen asset, adaptable across all Creative HQ collateral and various applications. Each tierāThe Hatchery, The Requirements, and The Enablersāfeatures distinct yet interconnected elements that illustrate the flow of contributions within the ecosystem. The isometric design adds depth and clarity, making complex connections visually intuitive. Its modular structure allows individual components to be updated, expanded, or presented separately, ensuring the graphic remains relevant and adaptable as the ecosystem evolves.

THEĀ OUTCOME
The final design achieved a seamless balance between detail and clarity, making the intricacies of the startup ecosystem accessible and engaging. It has since become a staple across Creative HQās assets, featured in workshops, presentations, and the 20th Anniversary Impact Report, and continues to evolve alongside Wellingtonās and New Zealandās entrepreneurial landscape.
